The Rotary Club of Huntsville has designated July 8th, 2017 as the 5th Annual Rotary DockFest. This will be Rotary’s latest project to support businesses and development in the downtown core, since the club was chartered in 1934.
For those of you who have been here for a while, you may remember the historical event known as the Bathtub Derby. This July, Rotary plans to bring back the bathtub races again, along with a Pancake breakfast, and parade of all the boats, great sponsors and exhibitors, and a family day guaranteed to bring fun and excitement to our downtown waterfront as the returning annual Rotary DockFest.

What It Means To Volunteer…
We are expecting many of you to want to be a part of this Annual event and we are putting a call out for volunteers. The event will take place at the River Mill Park, and the downtown Huntsville docks. Leading up to the event we will have a brief training evening where volunteers can register and get a sense of what to expect and also sign up for their part.
Each volunteer will receive a Yellow and Blue Rotary DockFest T-shirt along with a pancake breakfast, once registered for their position as volunteer.
Our Rotary Club is very excited to bring back this popular bathtub competition, inclusive of a whole day of festivities to become an annual tradition for locals and tourists to our downtown core.
We look forward to working with volunteers like yourself and hope to see you at Dockfest 2016!!!!
